The Sales Associate (SA) role is an entry-level sales position focused on building the foundation for a successful career in staffing sales. You’ll work in fast-paced industries such as Power Generation, Renewable Energy, Utilities, Heavy Industrial, and Process Manufacturing, where workforce demands can shift rapidly due to construction, shutdowns, turnarounds, and operational changes.
Your primary responsibility will be to identify companies that use temporary or contract labor, connect with decision-makers, and position APS Solutions as their trusted staffing provider. You’ll use a mix of cold calling, research, CRM tools, and mentor ship to develop qualified leads and help grow the business.
Essential Job Functions:
- Learn and understand APS Solutions’ full range of staffing services and target industries.
- Research prospective companies within industrial and energy sectors to identify potential staffing needs.
- Initiate contact with decision-makers (via phone, email, and online platforms) and introduce APS’ staffing solutions.
- Develop relationships with potential clients and understand their workforce challenges.
- Enter and maintain accurate contact, company, and opportunity records ATS systems.
- Collaborate with senior sales and recruiting team members to transition leads and support account development.
- Leverage technology to manage daily activities, follow-ups, and metrics.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school Diploma or equivalency required; Associate Degree strongly preferred.
- Experience in sales, recruiting, or customer-facing roles strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable with high-volume outbound calling and prospecting.
- Achievement-oriented – enjoys taking on challenges, even if they might fail; understands, appreciates, and respects the contribution of each team mate-there is no task too small.
- Tolerance for fast-pace – thrives in a high-pressure environment with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

- The work environment is an indoor setting with very little exposure to outside elements with noise levels consistent with that of a dynamic open office setting which includes ambient sounds such active phone conversations, collaborative discussions, operations of standard office equipment, and background television.
